There is an energy surplus in the home, for example, when it is sunny and the PV panels generate solar energy, or when energy prices are very low
The eddi, the brain of the Sunsmart cylinder, detects this energy surplus. Instead of feeding it back to the energy supplier, eddi redistributes the power to the cylinder, which starts heating water
The cylinder now functions as a thermal battery: the available energy is converted into hot water
Thanks to the high quality of the cylinder, this hot water remains stored until needed, for example, in the bathroom or kitchen
